Let Go of Perfect...
It's overrated and completely unattainable. So why do we hold onto the idea like a winning lottery ticket?
Any of these thoughts swirling around in your brain sound familiar?
Failure isn’t an option.
I’m too old to start over.
I need to take care of everyone else before I take care of myself.
My situation is so unique. Nobody understands.
I’m completely overwhelmed and I’m afraid to ask for help.
If it sounds like I’ve been there, it’s because I have and it didn’t feel good.
It was exhausting, scary, anxiety-ridden, and frankly, crappy. I knew I needed to do a lot of work on myself because that was the only thing I could actually change. Now I want to help others going through the same thing.
A great place to start is to…
Sounds too easy?
Well not so much, but it’s only because we’re not used to living that way. Early on we are programmed to look externally for validation and approval. And, if we don’t get it, chalk that up to another big fat failure… and now we’re back to square one.
If I had to venture a guess, this is a cycle that repeats quite often…...exhausting, right?
Let me show you another way.
The answer lies in something that surrounds us every day, but isn’t always acknowledged - NATURE! Animals, breezes, trees, flowers, birds, bees. I think you get the picture.
Nature knows innately what to do, how to survive and thrive. Our true nature is something we are all born with. Call it what you want, our internal GPS, gut instinct, God whisper, intuition… it’s been within us since birth and it’s time to find it again.
I want to help you reconnect with yours, that inner voice that is always pointing you in the direction of your authentic self.
And then there are the horses...
Horses are such an important part of this process because they have so much to teach us. Horses are ALWAYS living in the present moment and looking for connection within their herd. You become a member of their herd when you interact with them in a round pen, take a walk in a pasture or groom them in a barn.
The interaction between horses and humans is truly transformative. There is a visceral experience when you connect with an equine partner. More importantly, they let you know when your inner dialog conflicts with your external voice…..they feel the lies we tell ourselves and then give us feedback when we try to pass it off as our truth. The partnership between you and the horse creates powerful shifts to help you move into greater alignment and connection with your true self….or to put it more succinctly, horses do not lie and when you do, they call you out on your stuff!
With horses, you will begin to see patterns in your life that don’t serve you. This allows you to begin to make small shifts which lead to big changes over time.
